Below are documents with R&I presentation directions and rubric.

As an overview, each student will present both formally and informally within a session.

The first 25-35 minutes of a session will be contiguous formal 5 minute PowerPoint or Prezi presentations of research and internship at a high level by each student assign to that session.  This will be followed by an informal poster-session style Q&A and presentation by each student occuring in parallel.

The formal presentation is due for everyone in google classroom by 8 am Mon, Dec 14 and should include:
  • Research topic and internship location
  • High-level summary of research (e.g., rationale, approach, summary of results, lessons learned, future possibilities)
  • Final Slide:  Thank you to mentor(s) (be specific)
Suggestions for the informal presentation include internship video, other video, poster, single screen display of research results, etc.
Dress is business.

Fascinating article about the mathematical history of stochastic calculus.  Coupled with learning orthogonal integral transforms, learning about Navier-Stokes equations remains a highlight of my university career.

This week:
  • Proposals are due Monday, by 3:45 pm in the Magnet Office.  There will be a point deduction for late proposals.
  • Wednesday's class:  come with a paper copy of one applied SP.  After a lecture, you will work with a partner assigned by me to peer edit each other's applied SP with particular focus on validity, reliability, control and vertical alignment.  The peer edit form is below, as is this week's lecture.
  • Make progress on your research consistently!  The end of the semester will be here quickly.
