My goal is for students to develop ascending intellectual habits:
- Non-imitative use of knowledge
- Extensive knowledge and skill
- Pattern recognition
- Efficient and meaningful organization of knowledge (concept-based units and instruction)
- Increased curiosity, reflection, and concentration
- Questioning about reasons for and uses of knowledge
- Formulating insights/insightful questions
- Assuming considerable responsibility for own learning
- Reflective, evaluative behavior
